Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information may be handled when someone visits Baraga County Busted Mugshots, uses an outside search tool, or sends a message. It also describes the limited reasons for using or sharing that information.

Information That May Be Collected

A search entered into a sponsored search box passes directly to the third-party provider operating that tool. This site may receive referral information, but it does not control the provider's collection practices. Messages sent through an available contact method include whatever name, address, and message content the sender chooses to provide.

Like most websites, server and analytics systems may automatically record an IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages visited, and approximate visit time. Cookies or similar storage may remember settings, measure traffic, support advertising, and help outside search or analytics services operate.

How Information Is Used

Collected information may be used to operate and secure the site, understand which guides are useful, answer messages, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and measure advertising or referral performance. It is not used to make decisions about a person's credit, housing, job, insurance, or eligibility for a benefit.

Outside Services and Links

Links lead to Baraga County offices, Michigan agencies, courts, news publishers, and other websites. Sponsored search partners, analytics providers, and advertising networks have their own privacy rules and may use cookies or collect information when their services load. Review the policy on the destination site before submitting a name, payment information, or legal document.

When Data May Be Shared

Information may be available to vendors that provide hosting, analytics, advertising, or search functions, subject to their roles and terms. It may also be disclosed when required by a valid legal order, to law enforcement responding through lawful process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights. Personal information is not sold as an official Baraga County record.

Security Has Limits

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used, but no internet transmission or storage method is guaranteed secure. Avoid sending sensitive identity documents, financial information, or confidential case details through a general message.

Users Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. It does not knowingly seek personal information from minors. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use the Get in Touch page to request review.

Privacy Choices and Rights

Browser controls can block or delete cookies, though some tools may stop working. Depending on applicable law, a user may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held directly by this site. A request about a sheriff, court, MDOC, news, or search-provider record must go to that record owner. Michigan public records are governed in part by the Freedom of Information Act, including MCL 15.231 and the exemptions in MCL 15.243.

Updates to This Notice

This privacy notice may change when site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when it is posted. Questions may be sent through the Get in Touch page.
